Boxing Prediction: Victor Ortiz vs Luis Collazo: 2014-01-30; USA

26 years old southpaw Victor "Vicious" Ortiz (29-4-2(22 KO) is making his return to the big boxing by facing another southpaw, 32 years old Luis Collazo (34-5-0(17 KO) rated number 16 in the USA and number 37 in the world this evening, November 30 in Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York, USA.  It will be 10 rounds bout with no title at stake.

Victor Ortiz comes to this fight after a year and a half away from the big boxing. In his last fight he broke his jaw and was off for such a long time. So he comes to this fight after the loss against  American Josesito Lopez(29-4) on June 2012 by TKO round 9, Ortiz broke his jaw and surrendered after 9 rounds of brutal fight. Before that he lost against  Floyd Mayweather Jr.(41-0) by KO round 4 on September 2011. Floyd knocked him down when Ortiz went to apologize for the head-butt with his hands down.

Luis Colazo comes to this fight after the win by unanimous decision against Alan Sanchez(12-2-1) on September 2013. Before that he won by TKO round 5 against southpaw Miguel Callist(27-8-1) from Panama on 2013 April.

Active boxer after 2 wins last year will face one and a half year inactive boxer who comes after two loses in a row.  But this is just numbers, I believe we will see great action in the ring. Ortiz with his dirty style never produce boring boxing, at least in the past.....

Post Fight Analysis: Marco Huck vs Firat Arslan: huck by TKO round 6;

Marco Huck really impressed me with his performance last Saturday night. His rematch against Firat Arslan left no questions who is the winner. It took only 6 rounds for Huck to destroy tough as stone Firat Arslan. In fact I never seen Arslan beaten like this. Round 6 against Marco Huck was the worst round for Arslan ever during his boxing career.

Huck defended his WBO cruiserweight title and now he is ready for a bigger challenges. In fact it wasn't an easy fight for Huck. The beginning of the fight was not so promising. Arslan looked very confident and with big support of the crowd he was planning to destroy Marco.

From the first round the fight looked almost as a copy of there first fight. And it wasn't good for Marco Huck. Huck looked confused. Arslan was putting pressure on him, and Huck was throwing his three punch combinations and trying to keep Arslan on the distance.

But Arslan was able to cut the distance and every time he came close he landed his big power shots to the body and head of the champion. Huck was wasting his energy by trying to clich Arslan in the inside but Arslan was able to throw his punches....

Post fight Analysis: Bryant Jennings vs Artur Szpilka: Jennings by TKO round 10;

American heavyweight prospect Bryant "By By" Jennings(18-0-0(10 KO) stays unbeaten after very impressive performance against former undefeated Pole Artur Szpilka. Jennings was able to dominate Szpilka in almost every round and finally finished him on the last minute of the last round. Szpilka  took a knee in the middle rounds when he was nailed by a perfect power punch to the body during the exchanges. And he was dropped on the ropes on the final round once again. In fact Szpilka was able to continue, but Jennings went forward and finished him in the corner. Referee had nothing else what to do except to stop the beating.

From the first round the fight went as I was expecting it to go. Szpilka was moving a lot, he was using his front hand to keep Jennings on the distance. Every time Jennings went forward Szpilka was running from him or clinching him. Szpilka tried to land his big bombs but Jennings was always on his high guard. It was very hard for Szpilka to connect anything clear.

It was clear that Jennings is much better on the inside. Every time Jennings was able to cut the distance he was able to land something big.....

Boxing Predictions: Artur Szpilka vs Bryant Jennings: 2014-01-25; USA

Undefeated 24 years old southpaw Artur "Szpila The Pin" Szpilka (16-0-0(12 KO) rated number 2 in Poland and number 32 in the world will face his toughest challenge  undefeated 29 years old Bryant"By-By" Jennings(17-0-0(9 KO) rated number 8 in the USA and number 28 in the world this Saturday, January 25 in Madison Square Garden Theater, New York, USA.  This will be  a 10 rounds bout with no title at stake.

Artur Szpilka comes to this fight after an impressive win by TKO round 5 against American Mike Mollo(20-4-1) on the August 2013. That was the second time those two met and the second time Szpilka ended all with one clean punch. Before that he won by unanimous decision against  another American Brian Minto(37-5) on June last year.

Bryant Jennings comes to this fight after very impressive victory  by  TKO round 6 over hard hitting Russian Andrey Fedosov(24-2) on June last year. The fight was stopped by the doctor because of the cut that Fedosov had, and latter it was called TKO. Before Fedosov Bryant stopped Australian Bowie Tupou(22-2) by TKO round 5 on the end of 2012.

I waited for this fight some time already and I believe it will be a great fight to watch. Someone's 0 has to go.....

Boxing Predictions: Marco Huck vs Firat Arslan: 2014-01-25; Germany

29 years old Marco"Kaptn" Huck(36-2-1(25 KO) rated number 1 in Germany and number 2 in the world will face 43 years old southpaw Firat Arslan(33-6-2(21 KO) rated number 2 in Germany and number 13 in the world on this Saturday, Januray 25 in Hanns-Martin-Schleyer Halle, Stuttgart, Germany. This will be a 12 rounds bout for WBO cruiserweight title at stake. This will be the second fight between these two, last time they fought on the end of 2012, and that time Huck was gifted with a decision, while in my eyes the fight was at least a draw. Well it is Germany and Hook is a big star there and a champion.

Marco Huck comes to this fight after another controversial win over Ola Afolabi(19-2-4) by majority decision on June Last year. Before Afolabi he won against same Firat Arslan(33-5-2) in another controversial victory by unanimous decision on November, 2012.

Firat Arslan comes to this fight after an easy victory over Varol Vekiloglu(20-4-1) by unanimous decision on April last year, before that he lost against Marco Huck(34-2-1) by unanimous decision on November 2012.

This will be another tough battle of two old enemies. I hope Firat is still not too old to give a good fight....

Post Fight Analysis: Mike Perez vs Carlos Takam: Draw

Well I must admit this fight was a complete disaster for Mike Perez. As it finished as a draw , it was the biggest upset of the year so far. Judges scored 94-96, 95-95, 95-95. I scored it 95-95 and I can say that I was generous for Perez. I mean everybody expected him to fight the way he fought in the Perez-Mago bout, but instead of that we saw another lazy Olander Solis version. I don't know what is wrong with the Cuban heavyweights, but they didn't impress anymore.

From the first round it was a very inactive fight, Perez went forward all the time, using his jab and rare left hands and Takam was always going backwards. It was seen with a naked eye that Perez had big speed advantage over Takam and little by little he was dominating.

I mean he won first and second round, but them a head but happened. It was a big cut over the right Perez eye, but I think his corner made a perfect job and that didn't have any influence on what happened next. I mean Perez went forward and landed little bit more and was little bit more active for first five rounds. He has no power to trouble someone like Takam, so I thought my bet is safe. But never say never....

Post Fight Analysis: Jean Pascal vs Lucian Bute: Pascal by UD

Last Saturday night Jean Pascal(29-2-1(17 KO) won against Lucian Bute(31-2-0) by the unanimous decision but failed to impress. I can say that it was a one sided fight, but Pascal again fought only 30 sec. each round and all the other time he was just standing. Judges scored it 118-110, 117-111; 116-112 for Pascal. I believe the scoring was normal, because it was very poor performance from Bute who was too careful and too afraid to be hurt. Jean Pascal won the fight, but it is very hard to say what comes next for Pascal after this one. He is still very lazy fighter who have no ability and will to fight for all 12 rounds, and his fights are boring to watch.

I mean from the first round Bute looked very nervous and unsure. He was moving too much attacking with just one jab at the time. And Pascal was just waiting for the second half of the round to throw his furies. And what was most important he was able to land some of  his punches clean. Lucian Bute was moving his head so much, but it didn't help him at all. He took those big right hands right to the face.

I mean it was all the same picture for round 1 to 10. Jean Pascal was able to hurt Bute almost on every round and he had him on the ropes few times, but he just didn't go for a kill. Instead of that he went back to the center of the ring and was waiting for Bute to recover and continue the fight.

Only on the11th and 12th rounds Bute went forward and tired Pascal took some major beating, but he recovered very fast and launched his own furies on Bute....

Boxing Predictions: Mike Perez vs Carlos Takam: 2014-01-18, Canada

Undefeated 28 years old southpaw Cuban talent Mike "The Rebel" Perez(20-0-0(12 KO) rated number 2 in Cuba and number 15 in the world will face only once defeated 33 years old Carlos Takam(29-1-0(23 KO) rated number 1 in Cameroon and number 20 in the world on this Saturday, January 18 in Bell Centre, Montreal, Canada. This will be the 10 rounds undercard bout on Bute vs Pascal card.

Mike Perez comes to this fight after big win by unanimous decision against Magomed Abdusalamov(18-0) on November last year. This was a brutal fight with a lot of clean shots to the head. Shortly after the fight Mago was hospitalized and I believe he is still in coma. Before Mago he won by unanimous decision against much bigger but slow Travis Walker(39-9) on May 2013.

Carlos Takam comes to this fight after impressive win by KO round 3 against Jakov Gospic(14-8) on December last year, before that he won by TKO round 8 against Michael Grant(48-4) on May last year.

Carlos Takam won his last 11 fights and only two of them were on points.  This will be very interesting fight to watch. Two tough heavyweights will bring big action for sure....

Boxing Prediction: Lucian Bute vs Jean Pascal: 2014-01-18; Canada

31 years old Jean Pascal (28-2-1(17 KO)  rated number 2 in Canada and number 5 in the world will face 33 years old southpaw Lucian "Le Tombeur" Bute (31-1-0(24 KO) who is not rated because he was inactive for all 2013, on this Saturday, January 18 in Bell Centre, Montreal, Canada. This will be a 12 rounds bout with Butes NABF light heavyweight title on stake.

Lucian Bute comes to this fight after one year professional inactivity. On his last fight he won unimpressive victory over very slow Denis Grachev(12-0-1) by unanimous decision on November 2012. Before that he suffered his first professional loss in a one sided fight against Carl Froch(28-2) by TKO round 5 on May 2012.  Froch was able to torn apart Bute with his big punches and he took Butes IBF super middle weight title that night.

Jean Pascal was also not very active. He comes to this fight after unimpressive win against "no name"  George Blades (23-4) by TKO round 5 on September last year. Before that he won against another "nothing" Aleksy Kuziemski (23-4) by unanimous decision on December 2011.

This will be the fight between two warriors behind there prime. Both of them were top fighters some years ago, and now its time for these two Canadians to find out who is the better one. The winner can have a chance to fight the world champion Adonis Stevenson, as that fight can be very popular in Canada....
