Boxing Predictions: Anthony Direll vs Sakio Bika:2014-08-16; USA

Unbeaten 29 years old American Anthony "The Dog" Direll (26-0-1(22 KO) rated number 3 in the USA and number 12 in the world will face tough champion 35 years old Australian Sakio "The Scorpion" Bika (32-5-3(21 KO) rated number  1 in Australia and number 10 in the world on this Saturday night, August 16 in StubHub Center, California, USA. This will be a 12 rounds bout with Bikas WBC super middleweight title at stake.

Anthony Direll comes to this fight after the draw against same Sakio Bika on the end of 2013. It was a close and hard to score fight. Before that he won by TKO round 3 against American Anthony Hanshaw(23-3-2) on July 2013.

Sakio Bika comes to this fight after the draw against Anthony Direll on the end of 2013. Before that he won by majority decision against Mexican Marco Antonio Periban(20-0-0) on June 2013.

I believe this time they will find who is the better of those two....

Post fight analysis: Mike Perez vs Bryant Jennings: Jennings by SD.

Unbeaten American Bryant "By BY" Jennings stays unbeaten after a very hard performance against former unbeaten Cuban Mike "The Rebel" Perez on last Saturday evening. He won that fight by a split decision and with a gifted 1 point, that ring referee took from Perez for hitting after the "break". Judges scored the fight 114-113, 115-112 for Jennings and 114-113 for Perez.

I expected much more from Jennings, but he won the fight and that is most important. With this win he becomes mandatory number 1 for Stiverne-Wilder winner. Jennings is small for a heavyweight and he doesn't have big power in his hands and that makes almost impossible for him to win against Stiverne or Wilder, cause both of them are solid heavyweights with 1 punch knockout power, but that is in the future....

Boxing Predictions: Sergey Kovalev vs Blake Caporello: 2014-08-02; USA

Unbeaten very hard hitting 31 years of age Russian Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev (24-0-1(22 KO) rated number 1 in Russia and number 3 in the world will face undefeated Australian southpaw - 27 years old Blake "II Capo" Caporello (19-0-1( 6 KO) rated number 1 in Australia and number 10 in the world on this Saturday night, August 2 in Revel Resort, Atlantic City, USA. This will be a 12 rounds bout with Kovalevs WBO lightheavyweight title at stake.

Sergey Kovalev comes to this fight after the impressive win by KO round 7 against at that time undefeated American Cedric Agnew(26-0) on March this year. Before that he stopped by KO round 2 very talented but glass chin Ismayl Sillah(21-1) from Ukraine on November 2013.

Blake Caparello comes to this fight after the win by unanimous decision against American Elvir Muriqi(40-5) on January this year. Before that he won by unanimous decision against another American Allan Green(32-4) on October 2013.

Two unbeaten fighters will meet this Saturday night, and someone's "0" has to go...

Boxing Predictions: Jennings vs Perez: 2014-07-26; USA

29 years old unbeaten American Bryant "By-By" Jennings(18-0-0(10 KO) rated number 3 in the USA and number 13 in the world will face unbeaten southpaw Cuban Mike "The Rebel" Perez(20-0-1(12 KO) rated number 2 in Cuba and number 16 in the world on this Saturday night, July 26 in Madison Square Garden, New York, USA. This will be a 12 rounds bout with no title at stake.

Mike Perez comes to this fight after the upset draw against French Carlos Takam(29-1-0) on January this year. Before that he won by unanimous decision against at that time unbeaten Russian Magomed Abdusalamov(18-0-0) on November 2013.

Bryant Jennings comes to this fight after the TKO round 10 win against at that time unbeaten hard hitting Pole Artur Szpilka(16-0-0) on January this year. Before that he stopped Russian Andrej Fedosov(24-2) on June 2013. Fedosov was beaten badly and didn't continue the fight after 6 rounds.

Two unbeaten heavyweights will face each other this Saturday night. Both of them produce good boxing and I believe we will see an exciting fight....

Post fight analysis: Terence Crawford vs Yuriorkis Gamboa: Crawford by TKO round 9

Terence Crawford successfully defended his WBO lightweight title last Saturday night against unbeaten Cuban Yuriorkis Gamboa. Terence Crawford won the fight by TKO round 9, but he was able to drop Gamboa 4 times during that fight.

Crawford was able to drop Gamboa 4 times, but it wasn't a one sided fight at all. Gamboa was much faster and was able to dominate the fight in the first half even with his size disadvantage. After 3 rounds me and most of the judges I believe had Gamboa 30-27, but it looks like his chin is the weak spot.

I mean Gamboa was landing great power shots right to the button many times, but it looked like Terence had no problems with them. And after 3  poor rounds he changed the stance to the southpaw and that's when the fight changed.

It looks like Gamboa is one of those fighters who's body has some problems because of his amateur background. All his life his body was prepared for the 3 rounds fight, and it looks like he has some problems with his stamina and energy after 3 rounds. If it was an amateur fight he had won it, as he looked great for the first 3 rounds landing his overhands and hard shots to the body and showing great defense, but it is a 12 rounder and you must be ready for all 12....

Boxing Predictions: Terence Crawford vs Yutiorkis Gamboa: 2014-06-28; USA

Unbeaten American talent 26 years old Terence "Hunter" Crawford (23-0-0(16 KO) rated number 1 in USA and number 2 in the world will face 32 years old unbeaten Cuban Yuriorkis "El Ciclon de Guantanamo" Gamboa (23-0-0(16 KO)on this Saturday night, June 28 in CenturyLink Center, Nebraska,USA. This will be a 12 rounds bout with Crawfords WBO lightweight title at stake.

Terence Crawford comes to this fight after the win by unanimous decision against Ricky Burns(36-2-1) from Scotland on March 2014. Before that he won by unanimous decision in a one sided fight against at that time unbeaten Russian Andrey Klimov(16-0) on October 2013.

Yuriorkis Gamboa comes to this fight after the win by unanimous decision against Darleys Perez (28-0) from Columbia on June 2013. Before that he won by unanimous decision against Michael Farenas(34-3-4) from Philippines on the end of 2012.

Both fighters are unbeaten, both have the same perfect record 23-0 with 16 knockouts. One of them will feel the taste of loss for the first time this Saturday night. American or Cuban?....

Post Fight Analysis: Ruslan Provodnikov vs Chris Algieri: Algieri by SD

That was a huge upset of the night and a real shame on scoring, when light hitting American Chris Algieri was gifted a hometown split decision victory over hard hitting Russian Ruslan Provodnikov. Judges scores were 109-117 for Provodnikov and in my opinion that was the close score to what happened in the ring and 114-112, 114-112 for Chris Algieri. This score 114-112 for Algieri have nothing in common with what was happening in the ring.

Provodnikov started fast and dropped Algieri with single hook to the head on the first round. Latter on Algieri took a knee as he was still not recovered and was hurt with few big punches. Ruslan Provodnikov was the only one who went forward and used pressure for all 12 rounds, he was landing hard punches to the body and head, and some of them had a great effect as Algieri looked hurt at least 3 more times during that fight.

I don't even speak about Algieris face....  After 12 rounds it looked like his face was hit by the train, while Provodnikov was never in any trouble and looked in quite good shape and mood after the fight. It is so strange that the guy can win the welterweight title by landing more jabs and always fighting from his back foot....

Saturday, 14 June 2014

Boxing Predictions: Ruslan Provodnikov vs Chris Algieri: 2014-06-14; USA

30 years old hard hitting Russian Ruslan "Siberian Rocky" Provodnikov (23-2-0(16 KO) rated number 1 in Russia and number 3 in the world will face unbeaten 30 years old  American Chris Algieri (19-0-0(8 KO) rated number 10 in USA and number 29 in the world on this Saturday night, June 14 in Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York, USA. This will be a 12 rounds bout with Provodnikovs WBO light welterweight title at stake.

Ruslan Provodnikov comes to this fight after impressive win by TKO round 10 against at that time only once beaten American Mike Alvorado(34-1) on October 2013. Before that he lost by unanimous decision in a very tough fight against at that time unbeaten American Timothy Bradley (29-0) on March 2013.

Chris Algieri comes to this fight after a win by unanimous decision against American Emmanuel Taylor(17-1) on February this year. Before that he won by TKO round 7 against "no name"  Wilfredo Acuna(14-12) from Nigeria on September 2014.

This will be an entertaining match between pure "boxer" and pure "brawler" at least as long as it lasts....

Post fight Analysis: Miguel Cotto vs Sergio Gabriel Martinez: Cotto by TKO round 10;

Miguel "Junito" Cotto showed great boxing skills and power by destroying Argentine boxing legend Sergio Gabriel Martinez by TKO round 10.  Sergio Martinez corner stopped that almost one sided fight in the beginning of round 10. After devastating round 9 Martinez decided not to continue.  He didn't get up from his corner after the bell and fight was stopped. Miguel Cotto dropped Martinez three times on the first round and Martinez was given a count once on round 9.

The problems with his knees was seen with a naked eye from the first round. It was clear that Martinez is not fully recovered and I don't believe he ever will.

Martinez wasn't able to move in the ring the way he used to and was caught with big hooks to the head by Cotto. Martinez never recovered from that devastating first round and all the fight was just a fight for survival.....

Boxing Predictions: Sergio Gabriel Martinez vs Miguel Cotto: 2014-06-07; USA

One of the top elite boxers 39 years old Argentine Sergio Gabriel "Maravilla" Martinez(51-2-2(31 KO) will face another well known and loved by many  hard body puncher 33 years old Miguel "Junito" Cotto (38-4-0(31 KO) rated number 1 in Puerto Rico and number 4 in the world this Saturday night, June 7 in Madison Square Garden, New York, USA. This will be a 12 rounds bout with Martinez WBC middleweight title at stake.

Martinez comes to this fight after more than a year lay of when he had to cure his injuries. He had problems with his knees for almost all his career. In his last fight he won by unanimous decision in a close fight against Martin Murray(25-0-1) from Great Britain on April 2013.  Before that he won by unanimous decision against at that time unbeaten Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.(46-0-1) from Mexico on September 2012. Martinez outboxed Chavez for all 12 rounds but was dropped on 12th. and was lucky to finish the fight.

Miguel Cotto comes to this fight after the impressive win by TKO round 3 against Delvin Rodriguez (28-6-3) from Dominican Republic on October 2013. Before that he lost by unanimous decision against at that time unbeaten American southpaw Austin Trout(25-0-0) on the end of 2012. Trout was able to outbox Cotto with ease.
Miguel Cotto failed every time he faced elite fighter, maybe this time he will get what he wants....

Post Fight Analysis: Carl Froch vs George Groves: Froch by KO round 8;

Carl Froch successfully defended his titles last Saturday night against brave challenger George Groves. Carl knocked Groves out with single right hand shot right to the chin when Groves was near the ropes and opened as he was throwing his own left hook.

The fight wasn't very active. It was more a strategic game with both fighters respecting each other. It was hard to score fight as both boxers did little on every round. Groves had very good 7th round when he was able to land few over hands. But on the 8th. was caught with single shot and it was over.

Groves was knocked out cold for 2-3 seconds and referee made a right decision to stop the fight. Now there is no questions about which one is better....

Post fight Analysis: Alexander Povetkin vs Manuel Charr: Povetkin by KO round 7;

It took only 7 rounds for Alexander Povetkin to destroy only once beaten by Klichko Manuel Charr last Friday night in Moscow. Povetkin came in a perfect shape and performed high class boxing. Povetkin was a smaller man, but he was able to dominate Charr on every round. This was a fight for a vacant WBC International heavyweight title. With this win Povetkin comes a step closer to WBC heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne.

It was a great fight in fact. Heavyweight division finally started to produce well matched fights. Fighters started to fight for the rankings and for the belt, before that they were just building perfect records to get one big payday of there lives against one of Klitchko brothers. Great fighters were avoiding each other to save perfect record, but now when Vitali left everything changed.

I believe in future we will see much more entertaining and equally matched heavyweight bouts....

Boxing Predictions: Carl Froch vs George Groves: 2014-05-31; UK

36 years old Carl "The Cobra" Froch(32-2-0(23 KO) rated number 1 in  UK and number 2 in the world will face young lion 26 years of age George "Saint George" Grooves(19-1-0(15 KO) rated number 2 in UK and number 7 in the world already this Saturday night, May 31 in Wembley Stadium, London, UK. This will be a 12 rounds rematch fight after last controversial win with IBF Super middleweight title and WBA Super World super middleweight title at stake.

Carl Froch comes to this fight after the controversial win by TKO round 9 against same George Grooves on November 2013. Before that he won by unanimous decision a rematch against Mikkel Kesslar(46-2) from Denmark on May 2015.

George Grooves comes to this fight after the first loss by TKO round 9 against same Carl Froch on November 2013. George Grooves was dominating the fight and even dropped Froch on the end of round 1, but was robbed with the stoppage on round 9 when took few clean shots. Before that he won by TKO round 5 against Noe Gonzalez Alcoba(30-2) from Uruguay on May 2013.

I hope this rematch will answer all the questions, and I believe a lot of boxing fans are very excited about the outcome of this one. This is 50/50 fight for sure and I hope for no controversy this time....

Boxing Prediction: Manuel Charr vs Alexander Povetkin: 2014-05-30; Russia

34 years old Russian heavyweight hope Alexander "Russian Vityaz" Povetkin (26-1-0(18 KO) rated number 1 in Russia and number 9 in the world will face only once beaten 29 years old German Manuel "Diamond Boy" Charr (26-1-0(15 KO) rated number 3 in Germany and number 21 in the world this Friday, May 30 in Luzhniki, Moscow, Russia. It will be a 12 rounds bout with vacant WBC International heavyweight title at stake.

Alexander Povetkin comes to this fight after his first professional loss by unanimous decision in one sided fight against Wladimir Klichko (60-3) on September 2013.    Manuel Charr comes to this fight after the win by unanimous decision against "Bob Sapp of boxing" American Kevin Johnson(29-5-1) on April this year. Charr won the fight by wide margin, but in fact it was a close fight. Before that Charr won a fight by TKO round 5 against Denis Bakhtov (36-8) from Russia on October 2013. Bakhtov injured his hand during the fight and was unable to continue after 5 very competitive rounds.

Both fighters are defeated only by Klitchko brothers. Both were paper champions and now the winner can get the shot at WBC Champion Bermane Stiverne....

Boxing Predictions: Juan Manuel Marquez vs Mike Alvorado:2014-05-17; USA

40 years old Mexican boxing legend Juan Manuel "Dinamita" Marquez (55-7-1(40 KO) rated number 3 in the world and number 1 in Mexico will face much younger, 33 years old American Mike "Mile High" Alvorado (34-2-0(23 KO) rated number  6 in the USA and number 14 in the world this Saturday evening, May 17 in Forum, California, USA. This will be a 12 rounds bout with no title at stake.

Juan Manuel Marquez comes to this fight after a loss by majority decision against at that time unbeaten American Timothy Bradley(30-0-0) on October 2013. Before that he won by a last second KO round 6 against Philippine Manny Paquiao (54-4-2) on the end of 2012.

Mike Alvorado comes to this fight after a loss by TKO round 10 in a very tough fight against very hard hitting Russian Ruslan Provodnikov(22-2-0) on October 2013. Before that he won a rematch by unanimous decision against at that time unbeaten American Brandon Rios on March 2013.

This fight can be the candidate for the fight of the year, as Marquez is a great counter-puncher and likes to box and brawl, and Mike Alvorado is a pure brawler with some boxing skills. We will see a lot of hard shots on this one.....

Post fight Analysis: Bermane Stiverne vs Chris Arreola: Stiverne by TKO round 6

What a great heavyweight fight it was. I haven't seen such a great match in heavyweight division for some time. Bermane "B.WARE" Stiverne was outworked by Chris "the Nightmare" Arreola for few first rounds, but he turned the fight on round 6 when he dropped Arreola twice with huge power shots and referee stopped the fight to save Arreola from further damage.

Now we have a new WBC heavyweight champion of the world. And Bermane Stiverne really deserves that. The idea was that the winner of this fight will face hard hitting undefeated knockout artist Deontay Wilder, but Stivernes promoter Don King didn't mention this fight after his fighter won the title.

It looks like Don King wants to hold this belt as long as possible and to make as much money as possible before matching Stiverme with someone dangerous for the title. And those dangerous fighters are already willing to give a shot at the new champion. Vladimir Klitchko said that he is interested in fighting Bermane, Doentay Wilder is the first mandatory challenger....

Saturday, 10 May 2014

Boxing Predictions:Bermane Stiverne vs Chris Arreola:2014-05-10; USA

35 years old American heavyweight Bermane "B.WARE" Stiverne (23-1-1(20 KO) will face 33 years old Mexican Chris "The Nightmare" Arreola (36-3-0(31 KO) rated number 1 in the USA and number 6 in the world on this Saturday night, May 10, in USC Galen Center, Los Angeles, USA. It will be a 12 rounds bout with vacant WBC heavyweight title at  stake.

Bermane Stiverne comes to this fight after the win by unanimous decision against same Chris Arreola on April 2013. In that fight he broke Arreolas nose and dropped him once on round 3. Before that he won by unanimous decision against "no name" American Willie Herring(13-10-3) on April 2012.

Chris Arreola comes to this fight after impressive win by KO round 1 against glass jaw American Seth Mitchel (26-1-1) on September 2013. Before that he lost the fight against Bermane Stiverne by unanimous decision on April same year.

The winner of this fight will have to fight knockout artist Deontay Wilder, and the winner of that fight will have to face Perez/Jennings winner for the vacant WBC heavyweight title.....

Post fight Analysis: Amir Khan vs Luis Collazo: Khan by UD

Amir Khan performed very effective but not impressive against 33 years old southpaw Luis Collazo last Saturday night in MGM Grand, Las Vegas. Khan won the fight by unanimous decision and in my opinion he won every round, but his boxing was far from great.

Judges scored the fight 104-119, 104-119 and 106-117 for Amir Khan. I thought that Khan will win this fight by a knockout and Luis Collazo gave him every chance for that, but Khan failed.

He was able to drop Collazo in 4th. and twice in 10th. but was unable to finish him.  Khan tried, I mean he really tried, he pressured stunned Collazo on the ropes and started to throw his furies but was unable to land anything clean and his punches looked like the ones with no power.

That was an ugly fight to watch. As Khan was holding more than Vladimir Klitchko against Alexander Povetkin. And Collazo was so angry about that that he even checked if Amir Khan is a man or a woman as he hurt Khan 3 times under the belt line during the fight.

Referee had to take 1 point from both fighters as Khan was holding and clinching all the time and Collazo was checking Khans gender in answer....

Post fight Analysis:Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Marcos Rene Maidana: Mayweather by MD

Unbeaten boxing legend and pound-for-pound king American Floyd Mayweather Jr. stays unbeaten after a win by majority decision over hard hitting Argentine Marcos Rene Maidana. Judges scored 116-112, 117-111 and 114-114 for Mayweather. I had it 116-112 for Mayweather. It was a 46th. victory in a row and now Floyd has a perfect (46-0(26 KO) record.

There were some boxing writers and experts that gave victory for Maidana, but in my opinion they were watching some other fight.  Maidana came strong and gave big pressure for the first four rounds. He had Floyd on the ropes for the majority of time, but was landing little clean and was punished with  short clean counters.
After the 4th. round Maidana started to look tired of that pressure fighting and he was completely outboxed by Mayweather from the distance.

It looked almost impossible for Maidana to land anything from the distance. Floyd was able to block or to escape every single punch, meanwhile he was landing his lead right hands, jabs or even combinations to the body and head of Maidana at will.

I mean the speed deference was outstanding....

Denis Lebedev comes to this fight after the loss by KO round 11 against same Guillermo Jones almost one year ago.  Before that he won by a KO round 4 against Santander Silgado(23-0) from Colombia on the end of 2012.

Guillermo Jones comes to this fight after the win by KO round 11 against Denis Lebedev(25-1) on May 2013. Before that he won by TKO round 6 against Michael Marrone(20-3) from the USA on the end of 2011.

This will be a very exciting rematch between two good fighters.....

Beibut Shumenov comes to this fight after the impressive win by TKO round 3 against at that time undefeated Tomas Kovacs(23-0) from Slovakia on the end of 2013. Before that he won by unanimous decision against Mexican Enrique Ornelas(34-8) on June 2013.

Boxing Predictions: Shawn Porter vs Paul Malignaggi: 2014-04-19; USA

Only 26 years old unbeaten American Shawn "Showtime" Porter (23-0-1(14 KO) rated number 4 in the USA and number 8 in the world will face 33 years old Paul "Magic Man" Malignaggi (33-5-0(7 KO) rated number 7 in the USA and number 11 in the world this Saturday, April 19 in DC Armory, Washington, USA. Post Fight Analysis: Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley: Pacquiao by UD

American Timothy "Desert Storm" Bradley suffered his first defeat in professional career last Saturday night, when he was dominated by southpaw boxing legend Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. Judges scored the fight 116-112, 116-112, 118-110, all three for Pacman. I scored the fight 116-112 for Pacquiao. In my opinion Bradley won 1-3-4-11 rounds.

Together with his revenge Manny took also Bradleys WBO welterweight title.

Bradley came with a perfect game plan to defeat Pacquiao and was winning the fight for first four rounds, but he injured his leg on round 4 and had to change his fight plan.

He stopped moving and started only to look for one big punch to finish the fight. It was a bad plan as he was never a big puncher and Manny was moving too much in and out so he was unable to catch him with a fury of shots.

From round 5 Manny took over the fight and was landing much more during every round. Pacman was faster and Bradley was just loosing every exchange....

This will be the second time these two will meet. First time Bradley got the decision, while a lot of boxing fans thought he has lost the fight. Maybe this time all questions will be answered.....

Post Fight Analysis: Curtis Stevens vs Tureano Johnson: Stevens by TKO round 10

Curtis "Showtime" Stevens was able to stop former unbeaten Tureno Johnson by a 10th round TKO last Friday. It was a very difficult fight for Stevenson as Johnson came with a perfect game plan and was able to outwork lazy Stevens on almost every round in the fight.

Tureno Johnson showed a perfect chin as he was eating those big Stevens bombs all over the fight and was still there.

As I expected it was not an easy fight for Stevens. Johnson came close and started to work on Stevens body and head from the first minutes in the fight. Smaller Stevens found himself near the ropes with high guard on every round and had to take a lot of punches to his hands, body and head.

I mean Tureno was throwing a lot with low success rate, but he looked much better on every round. Stevens was throwing much less but in my opinion his punches were harder and he connected in much higher rate.

On the 10th. round Stevens understood that the only way for him to win that fight is a knockout, and he caught Johnson in the middle of the ring with a big left hook, and that hook hurt Johnson a lot. Johnson was in survive mode and Stevens came with a fury of shots and when Johnson was pressed to the ropes and was doing nothing to protect himself, referee stopped the fight......

Post Fight Analysis: Steve Cunningham vs Amir Mansour: Cunningham by UD

41 years old hard hitting southpaw Amir "Nightmare"  Mansour lost his first professional fight, last Friday when he was outboxed by much more experienced Steve"USS" Cunningham. Judges scored 92-95; 92-95; 90-97, all in favor of a new  USBA heavyweight champion Steve Cunningham.

Mansour was able to drop Steve on the end of round 5 with a big right hand to the chin. Steve Cunningham looked really hurt but was able to continue. Mansour was ready to finish him of and soon dropped  him the second time with two big shots to the head when it was only 7 second left till the end of the round.

In my opinion the fight was close to be stopped because Cunningham was still out in space and he was barely able to hit the count. But the round ended and he was saved by the bell.

I really respect his heart and his will, because he came back from round 6 and was able to dominate the rest of the rounds and even dropped tired as hell Mansour on the end of the last round....

Hard hitting Stevenson against unbeaten Johnson. Johnsons chin will be tested this weekend that's for sure....

Boxing Predictions: Steve Cunningham vs Amir Mansour: 2014-04-04; USA

Unbeaten 41 years old southpaw  Amir "Hardcore" Mansour (20-0-0(15 KO) rated number 6 in the USA and number 21 in the world will step up high in class by facing 37 years old Steven "USS" Cunningham(26-6-0(KO 12) rated number 8 in the USA and number 26 in the world  on this Friday, April 4 in Liacauras Center, Philadelphia, USA. this will be a 10 rounds bout with USBA heavyweight title at stake.

Steve Cunningham comes to this fight after the win by unanimous decision against American Manuel Quezada(29-7) on  the end of 2013. Before that he lost against unbeaten Tyson Fury(20-0) by KO round 7 on April 2013. Cunningham looked very good in first 4 rounds, and even dropped Fury on round 2, but latter was dominated by much bigger and stronger Tyson.

Amir Mansour comes to this fight after impressive win by TKO round 7 against Americaan Kelvin Price(14-1) on the end of 2013. Before that he won by unanimous decision against American Maurice Harris(26-17-2) on August 2013.

Both men goes to this fight only to win. I hope to see a good heavyweight bout this time......

Post fight Analysis: Sergey Kovalev vs Cedric Agnew: Kovalev by KO round 7;

Well after Saturday night only one unbeaten left. Unbeaten hard hitting Russian Sergey "Krucher" Kovalev stays unbeaten after the KO round 7 victory over American Cedric Agnew. Kovalev now has 24 wins with 22 knockouts, and he still has his WBO light heavyweight title.

I hoped to see a nice fight as long as it last, but instead saw a horrible sparing session. It was Kovalev against the slow moving heavy bag. I can't imagine what was Cedric hoping for with his tactics. If he had a plan to be beaten for more rounds then it was necessary he succeeded.

It was almost the same horrible fight like the one few months ago between Abraham and De Carolis, when De Carolis was running all the time with his high guard, and was able to survive for all 12 rounds without taking big punishment. While De Carolis was able to run from the old Abraham and avoid the fight, slow Agnew was just moving along the  ropes and taking big shots to his high guard and body....

Boxing Prediction: Sergey Kovalev vs Cedric Agnew: 2014-03-29; USA

30 years old hard hitting unbeaten Rusian Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev ( 23-0-1(21 KO) rated number 1 in Russia and number 4 in the world will face 27 years old unbeaten American Cedric Agnew (26-0-0(13 KO) rated number  5 in the USA, and number 15 in the world on this Saturday, March 29 in The Ballroom, Atlantic City, USA. This will be a 12 rounds bout with Kovalevs WBO light heavyweight title at stake.

Sergey Kovalev comes to this fight after very impressive KO round 2 victory over Ismayl Sillah(21-1) from Ukraine on the end of November 2013. Before that he took the WBO belt by TKO round 4 from at that time undefeated Nathan Cleverly (26-0) from Britain on August 2013.

Cedric Agnew comes to this fight after the win by unanimous decision against  American Yusaf Mack(31-5-2) on April 2013, before that he won by unanimous decision against "no name" Mexican Alfredo Contreras(13-14-2) on the end of 2012.

This will be a great fight between two unbeaten fighters, as long as it lasts.....

Post fight Analysis: Vyacheslav Glazkov vs Tomasz Adamek: Glazkov by UD;

Vyacheslav Glazkov brought an upset by winning the fight against much more experienced Tomasz Adamek last Saturday night in USA. Vyacheslav won the fight by unanimous decision. All judges scored for Galzkov 110-117; 111-117;  112-116. This scores have nothing in common with that fight. I saw this fight as a draw best way or even Adamek win. In my opinion Adamek won 1-2-7-10-11-12 and round 3 was close.

Glazkov was able to dominate Adamek on middle rounds, and gave him terrible beating, but in the end he was gassed out, and Adamek over took the fight. On 12th. round  Adamek started to go for a kill and Glazkov took terrible beating and was almost out of there, but was saved by the bell.

I mean if Adamek had 1 more round he had very good chances simply to knock gassed out Glazkov out. Glazkov looked like the beaten fighter in the end, and I believe he felt like he has lost the fight, it was another poor scoring night and Glazkovs perfect record was saved by his promoters again....

Post Fight Analysis: Deontay Wilder vs Malik Scott: Wilder by KO round 1;

Unbeaten American heavyweight hope Doentay Wilder made a clear statement about his plans to become the world champion. He knocked out Malik Scott in the first round with his first power shots combination and now he is on 31 wins and 31 knockout.

I can't believe the power this guy possess. With the speed and power he has he is the most dangerous opponent for Vladimir Klitchko at this moment. Now Wilder will have to fight Chris Arreola vs Bernane Stiverne winner for the vacant WBC heavyweight title.

The most amazing thing was that Wilder knocked Malik Scott out with his fast left hook, and the big right hand that was blocked by Scott just finished the job....

Boxing Predictions: Deontay Wilder vs Malik Scott:2014-03-15, Puerto Rico

Unbeaten 28 years old American heavyweight hope Deontay "The Broze Bomber" Wilder (30-0-0(30 KO) rated number 3 in the USA and number 12 in the world will face another American 33 years old Malik Scott(36-1-1(13 KO) rated number 12 in the USA and number 35 in the world this Saturday night, March 15 in Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez, Bayamon, Puerto Rico. This will be a 12 rounds bout with no title at stake. But the winner of this bout will have to fight the winner of Arreola-Stiverne for the world title.

Deontay Wilder comes to this fight after his KO round 4 win against American Nicolai Firtha(21-10-1) on October 2013, before that he knocked out former heavyweight champion Siarhei Liakhovic(25-5-0) in the first round on August 2013.

Malik Scott comes to this fight after his win by TKO round 2 against "no name" American Grover Young(7-11-1) on January this year.  Before that he suffered his first professional loss by TKO round 6 against Dereck Chisora(16-4) from Britain on July 2013. It was a very strange loss as Scott was still ready to fight but he just waited too long and referee counted him out.

In my opinion this is a big mismatch as the biggest puncher in the heavyweight division will fight the guy with no power, I believe this fight will not go to the distance....

This will be a 12 rounds bout with IBF North American heavyweight title at stake.
